Indian Lake is a picturesque reservoir nestled in western Ohio. Located approximately 20 miles (32 km) southeast of Lima, this serene lake offers a delightful blend of natural beauty and recreational opportunities.
Originally formed as a shallow feeder lake for the Miami & Erie Canal in the 19th century, Indian Lake later transformed into a popular resort park after the canal era ended in Ohio. Today, visitors can enjoy a variety of on-the-water activities, including boating, fishing, jet skiing and swimming. The lake is fed by the north and south forks of the Upper Great Miami River, as well as Cherokee Mans Run, Blackhawk Creek, and Van Horn Creek.
