Brookville, Ohio

Brookville is a city in northwestern Montgomery County, Ohio. It is situated along the Great Miami River, approximately 15 miles northwest of Dayton. The population was 5,989 at the 2020 census.

The city was founded in 1832 by John H. Brook and was incorporated in 1844. Brookville was originally a farming community, but it began to grow in the early 20th century with the arrival of the railroad. The city's economy is now based on manufacturing, retail, and healthcare.

Brookville is home to several historical sites, including the Brookville Historic District, the Brookville Covered Bridge, and the Brookville Railroad Depot. The city is also home to a number of parks and recreation facilities, including the Brookville City Park, the Brookville Pool, and the Brookville Sports Complex.
