Moraine, Ohio

Situated on the banks of the Great Miami River, Moraine is a suburb of Dayton, Ohio and a part of the Dayton metropolitan area. The population of Moraine is approximately 6,000.

Moraine was founded in 1850 and incorporated as a city in 1957. The city is named after the moraines, which are glacial deposits that are found throughout the area. Moraine is home to a number of businesses, including General Motors, Frigidaire, and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The city is also home to a number of schools, parks, and recreation facilities.

​The city is home to a number of historic sites, including the Moraine Heritage Museum, which is located in the former Dayton-Wright Airplane Factory.
