Springfield is the county seat of Clark County, Ohio. The municipality is located in southwestern Ohio and is situated on the Mad River, Buck Creek, and Beaver Creek, approximately 45 mile west of Columbus and 25 miles northeast of Dayton. Springfield is home to Wittenberg University, a liberal arts college.
The population was 58,763 at the 2020 census.
Springfield is a thriving city with a diverse economy. The city is home to a number of manufacturing, retail, and healthcare businesses. Springfield is also a major center for education, as it is home to Wittenberg University, Clark State Community College, and the Springfield Adult Learning Center.
